As exhaustive as any home search can be, mine was particularly cumbersome after losing my home and all its contents to flooding in New Orleans .  I relocated to Houston for work and was looking for a house to lease.  I did not have much luck in my search and received an email from Kay Cruz.  Kay graciously offered to help in my search.  After dealing with all of the offers of help during the Katrina aftermath, my skepticism took over. I wondered how she was to be compensated, so I inquired.  She explained that her assistance in my rental home search was her investment in our relationship.  She further explained when I was ready to purchase a home, she hoped that I would remember her and that is when her investment would pay off.  I admired her out of the box approach and accepted her offer of assistance.

Many days and many houses later, we were unable to locate a suitable rental house.  Kay continued the search, despite my disappointment with availability.  Luckily, I had a family member lose a long term tenant in a rental property and I had a place to land and the rental house search was off.

Some real estate professionals may have written me off as a non-income producing client, but not Kay.  Over the coming months, Kay kept in touch with me.  It is a good thing too, as my landing spot was situated in a major highway construction zone.  As a result I had to move.  We picked up right where we left off, except this time, looking to find a home for purchase.

Again, Kay tirelessly showed me property after property, attentively listening to my requirements and wants in a new home.  We met for several weeks in search of a home.  In fact, the area I was looking in was not well known to Kay, but that did not stop her from learning the area to be able to advise me.  With the assistance of an electronic GPS system, we canvassed the area looking for the perfect place.

The outcome was the effortless purchase of the new home where I sit writing this testimonial.  Kay was there every step of the way, from looking to closing. Considering the location of this home, I am still amazed that Kay found it. It is perfect, the neighbors are great, and I am really enjoying the place.  I cannot thank Kay enough.

In these times of pervasive mediocrity, I cannot say enough about Kay.  If word of mouth advertising really works, I will be one of Kays biggest publicists.  In fact, Kay and I are embarking on a new search in the coming weeks and I expect we will find the next great property.
